日本資深歌手暨演員美輪明宏於上月20日離世，享壽91歲。
美輪明宏出生於日本長崎，是原爆倖存者。早年以香頌歌手成名，與不少日本文學大師交好，其中包括日本文豪三島由紀夫。另外他也活躍於戲劇、舞台、主持、配音、文化評論等領域。
美輪明宏長年頂著一頭黃色長髮，以雍容華貴的女裝形象示人。過去日本網路曾流傳，只要把美輪明宏的照片設為手機桌布，就會帶來好運。這股風潮也傳來台灣，讓美輪明宏意外成為台灣網友心目中的開運象徵。
歌頌社會弱勢的「ヨイトマケの唄」（苦力女之歌）是美輪明宏的代表作。他在2012年，以77歲高齡登上「NHK紅白歌唱大賽」演唱這首歌，讓本曲重新獲得矚目。
美輪明宏從2012年起，連續四年出席「紅白歌唱大賽」。其中他在2014年的「紅白」與中島美雪同場較勁，兩人展開「晨間劇」對決。先上場的中島美雪演唱當年晨間劇「阿政與愛莉」的主題曲「麦の唄」（麥之歌），緊接著出場的美輪明宏則演唱上一檔晨間劇「花子與安妮」的劇中插曲「愛の讃歌」（愛的讚歌）。兩位資深歌手的對決在當時蔚為話題。
Japanese singer and actor Akihiro Miwa (美輪明宏) passed away on June 20, at the age of 91.
Miwa was born in Nagasaki, Japan, a survivor of the atomic bomb. He rose to fame as a chanson singer early in his career and maintained closed relationships with other literature celebrities, including the famous writer Yukio Mashima (三島由紀夫). Miwa was also active in drama, stage performances, hosting, voice acting, and cultural commentary.
Miwa was well-known for his long blond hair and dressed in glamorous women's clothing. There was an internet rumor in Japan that setting Miwa's picture as phone wallpaper can bring good luck. This trend also spread to Taiwan, making Miwa a symbol of good luck among Taiwanese netizens.
His hit "The Day-Labourer's Song / ヨイトマケの唄" is a song for the socially disadvantaged. In 2012, at the age of 77, he performed the song on the NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen / Red and White Song Battle", bringing the song back into the spotlight.
Since 2012, Miwa appeared on the "Kohaku" for four consecutive years. In 2014's "Kohaku", Miwa and Miyuki Nakajima had a "morning drama showdown". Nakajima performed first, singing "The Wheat Song / 麦の唄", the theme song from that year's morning drama, while Miwa sang "Ai no Sanka / 愛の讃歌", a featured song from the previous morning drama. The duel between the 2 singers became a hot topic at the time.
