Renowned American bassist Leland Sklar has been in the music industry since the 1960s, collaborating with many famous artists, including James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Phil Collins, Toto, The Doors, Suzy Bogguss, and Lyle Lovett. He has worked on over 2,000 albums and contributed soundtracks to popular films and television series such as "The A-Team", "Knight Rider", "Forrest Gump", and "Ghost". Due to his outstanding contributions to popular music, he was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2026, alongside Keith Urban, Dolly Parton, and others.

During the 2020's pandemic, Sklar launched his own YouTube channel, where he shares his past work experiences. Because he offers firsthand information on popular music history in his videos, the channel becomes popular among fans. In a recent episode, he talked about his past work with Miyuki Nakajima.

Since 1991, Miyuki Nakajima began recording in Los Angeles and collaborated with local musicians, including Leland Sklar. Their collaboration can be found on albums such as "Sun: WINGS" (1999), "Moon: WINGS" (1999), "Short Stories" (2000), "Lullaby for the Soul" (2001), and "Otogibanashi-Fairy Ring-" (2002).

In the video, Sklar first gives a brief introduction to Nakajima, then plays two of her songs: "Powdery Snow / 粉雪は忘れ薬" (from the 2000 album "Short Stories") and "Rolling / ローリング" (from the 1993 album "Jidai: Time Goes Around"). He also said that because he can't read Japanese, he doesn't actually know what the songs are about, but he just enjoyed these songs very much.
