NHK Broadcasting Culture Award (NHK放送文化賞) announced this year's 10 recipients, including Miyuki Nakajima. The award is to honor the contributors to the development of the broadcasting culture.
As described by the introduction to recipients, "Nakajima is the only one female singer who had 4 top 1 singles during 4 consecutive decades and offered 5 top 1 songs during 5 consecutive decades. She sang the theme songs for many TV programs and is also acclaimed for her performance on stage and as a radio host. She continues to contribute to the development of J-POP."
Nakajima is the only one singer awarded this year, along with other winners like screenwriters, actors, poets, professors, etc.
