According to Japanese reports, the theme song of the popular TV animation "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" (鬼滅の刃), "Gurenge" (紅蓮華), has recently reached a record of 100 consecutive weeks on the Japanese ORICON Chart. This song, performed by Japanese singer LiSA, was released on July 3, 2019, and has been in the top 100 of the singles chart for consecutive 100 weeks as of May 30 this year.
It is the seventh song in Japanese history to reach that record. The record for the longest non-stop stay in the top 100 of the singles chart was achieved by Miyuki Nakajima (中島みゆき)'s single, "Earthly Stars" (地上の星). The song has been in the top 100 for 174 weeks.
