日前日本TBS電視台製作特別節目，邀請190位聲樂家選出最會唱歌的50位現役日本歌手。其中，中島美雪被評為第16名。入榜的歌手皆是實力派的流行歌手或演歌手，第一名則是擁有雄厚肺活量的女歌手MISIA。
中島美雪的歌聲被聲樂家誇讚，認為能讓聽者化身為歌曲中的主人公，直接感受到喜怒哀樂。去年中島美雪也被聲樂家評為是以低音決勝負的歌手，認為以女歌手來說，能夠擁有強而有力的低音，是很不容易的事。
有趣的是，中島美雪去年也發行了一張名叫「CONTRALTO」（女低音）的唱片。
Recently, the Japanese TBS TV produced a special TV show. In this show, they invited 190 vocalists to select 50 Japanese singers with best singing ability.
