「北海道新聞社」自1947年起，每年都會頒獎給對日本北海道有傑出貢獻的人士。今年有三位獲獎者，其中之一是出身自北海道的創作歌手中島美雪，自1975年出道以來，已寫下許多傳世名曲。
中島美雪透過經紀公司表示，雖然如今已不住在北海道，但作為土生土長的北海道人，對於獲獎深感榮幸。
其他兩位獲獎人，分別是研發新型免疫療法的北海道大學教授松田正，以及當地專注於推廣綠色能源的Air Water公司。
頒獎典禮將於11月27日舉行，獲獎者將獲得100萬日圓的獎金。
Since 1947, The Hokkaido Shimbun Press (北海道新聞社) annually presented awards to people who made outstanding contributions to Hokkaido of Japan. One of three recipients this year is Hokkaido born singer-song writer Miyuki Nakajima. Since her debut in 1975, she has written many timeless hits.
Nakajima stated her comment through her agency. As a native Hokkaidoer, she is deeply honored to receive the award although she doesn't live in Hokkaido right now.
The other two recipients are Professor Tadashi Matsuda (松田正) from Hokkaido University who is developing a new immunotherapy, and Air Water (エア・ウォーター株式会社), a local company dedicated to promoting green energy.
The awards ceremony will be held on November 27. The recipients will receive a prize of 1 million Japanese yen.
